Pinnacle Clinical Chemistry Module

The PINNACLE Clinical Chemistry module offers a
complete range of functions to meet the needs of a modern
clinical laboratory.
Running either stand-alone or as part of a complete integrated
Pathology system, the PINNACLE system represents the
latest development in laboratory information systems.
The PINNACLE application software is highly flexible and
was designed by laboratory staff, specifically for the
Chemistry environment, with many user-defined formats and
parameters.

Patient Database
|
|
All PINNACLE modules, including Clinical Chemistry, are linked
to common patient demographic information using the power
and flexibility of the ORACLE Relational Database
Management System.
|
|
Request Entry
|
|
Request entry screen layouts are customised for each
laboratory, and can also be implemented on a centralised
basis. They are designed for maximum ease of use and for
enhanced productivity, including the capture of discipline-specific
data, such as that needed for Dynamic Function
Tests.
|
|
Result Entry
|
|
The majority of Chemistry data is captured from automated
equipment and a number of facilities are also provided for
manual result entry, including numeric, text, calculated and
coded entries.

|
Worksheets
|
|
User-definable worksheets provide a flexible and efficient
mechanism for the management of both result and QC data,
including the application of Westgard rules for data
validation.
|
|
Analyser Interfaces
|
|
PINNACLE Clinical Chemistry supports a wide range of automated
equipment through the use of PC-based software, including
both uni- and bi-directional analysers.
|
|
Reference Ranges
|
|
Multiple user-defined reference ranges are available by
patient category, including age and sex.
|
|
Authorisation
|
|
On-line, semi-automatic and fully automatic processing is
supported, with easy access to patient history during
authorisation.
|
|
Results Reporting
|
|
Single-shot, interim and cumulative reports are available,
customised to your individual requirements, and including
facilities such as multiple report destinations and electronic
transmission of results.
|
|
|
Enquiries
|
|
Accessible within the Clinical Chemistry laboratory, across other
disciplines or to authorised external users, the enquiry
facilities provide fast and secure access to patient result data.
|
|
Comprehensive Reporting and Management Information
|
|
In addition to the standard reports including workload
statistics, data can easily be analysed and reported upon using
a range of industry-standard SQL tools including the
powerful, data analysis and reporting tools Business Objects
and Oracle Discoverer.
