DBA
Database Administrator

An individual responsible for the design and management of the database, and for the evaluation, selection and implementation of the database management system. In smaller organisations, the data administrator and database administrator are often one and the same person; however, when they are different, the database administrator's function is more technical. The database administrator would implement the database software that meets the requirements outlined by the organisation's data administrator and systems analysts.

Through our Support Solutions division, Foremost IT can assist smaller companies who may not employ a DBA, offering expert advice at a fraction of the cost of employing a full-time member of staff.
